Patti Maes (MIT Media Lab) talks about and demonstrates Sixth Sense, “a wearable device that enables new interactions between the real world and the world of data”.
It looks like 2009 is the year of the augmented reality application. After several for Android, here is one for the iPhone 3GS. It uses the iPhone’s GPS and compass to show you where the nearest London Underground station is. Nice.
UPDATE: There is now also a version for New York — New York Nearest Subway.
